Arthur & Marilyn weren’t a match made in heaven, more of a ‘Match made due to calculations & for benefits.’ They’re completely the opposite in nearly everything, they went together to the same high school, & again attended the same university, she’s wasn’t Arthur’s type, nor did Marilyn like Arthur, but the moment Arthur saw her again at university he knew she’s the one, she’s was so not for beauty, status, wealth or educational achievement, he just knew in his heart that she will run his home well, give him great children, help him chase his dreams, & climb the social ladder quickly, because like him she wanted more out of life, so much more than this little town is willing or can give to both of them.

On the other hand Marilyn never liked him, made fun of him with her girlfriends, the way he dressed, talked,  his hair, teeth, how he ate his food  & everything about him, but she saw in him a drive, thirst, & hunger to be something great & not just an ordinary guy or a nobody working in a boring governmental job, or like most of the guys she dated in her town ‘Most of those guys wildest dream was to own a store & have a mega TV with all the channels that one can imagine.’

No, Arthur wasn’t like them, he wanted more out of life, to move out from this dead ugly town to the city & she recognized in him that he’ll be willing to do anything to get to where he wanted, no matter what the price is.

He was her ticket to success; her only way out of this miserable place. She thought that if they were to marry each other, maybe later on the two of them can fall in love with each other, & if they didn’t, it doesn’t matter!

They married, & she said yes to him nearly on everything, to stay home, not to have a career, not to study again, to give him kids, run his home, & make him happy! But all on one condition; that all her heart’s desires were to be fulfilled, all her whims were to be met.
